When I am in Funchal, I like staying here. Pleasant place all in all, has pleasant staff from check-in to check-out. The rooms are extremely spacious and have perfect view over the bay. The poolside restaurant for dinner is what you need.

This pleasant and wonderful hotel had a very central setting to the center of Funchal by bus or on foot. Moreover, it was adjacent to many restaurants and shops, sea front and side, and the cruise ship pier, Funchal Bay & hillside, and the ocean. The room was excellent sized and airy with beautiful views, the 2 late teenage children, as for instance and the breakfast was rich. An excellent shower and a tub were very handy.

The classic twin room was high-class and huge with great views. The location was perfect and premier, within easy walking distance of Blandy's Wine Lodge Distillery. This hotel was in a tranquil area not far from the restaurants, Madeira and the sea.
Wi-Fi was very poor tbh and there was very uncomfortable bed in my room.
